The Perth Mint Kangaroo coin is the only platinum coin currently available from the Perth Mint in Australia. Previously the Perth Mint produced a platinum platypus coin, however, this was discontinued when the platinum Kangaroo coin was introduced. Prior to this a platinum Koala was available.
The Perth Mint produce a number of famous coins, including the Kangaroo coin in gold and silver, and the Koala and Kookaburra coins, which are available in silver only. The Perth Mint also produce the famous Lunar series of coins, which is really popular with collectors.
