The front of each coin features a portrait image of Queen Elizabeth II. At the top of the coin is written 'Elizabeth II', and 'Australia'. At the bottom of the coin, the words '2 Oz 9999 AU' are inscribed. This indicates that each coin contains 2 troy ounces of 9999 fine gold bullion. The coin's face value of $200 AUD is also located at the bottom.
The reverse of the coin features an image of two tigers, a mother and her cub, standing on some rocks. The year of the Tiger is considered to be a very good year in Chinese tradition, and the tiger symbolizes strength.
